Les Fonts d'Algar lie about 15 kilometres inland from Benidorm and are a reknown place of natural beauty which is popular with tourists. A protected natural region, the waterfalls are the highlight of the river run which also includes numerous springs and pools which allow for open air swimming in a stunning environment.
Entrance is by daily ticket to control the number of visitors at a time to the pools, costing 5 Euros for adults in the peak summer months and with concessions for groups, children, over 65s and disabled visitors. Besides the pools and waterside footpaths for walking, there is a picnic area, parking, toilets and first aid facilities, plus an arboretum and camping areas.
The town of Callosa d'en Sarria is about 2 kilometres away, and also within a short ride is the Dino Park Algar dinosaur and natural history centre, several restaurants and the picturesque village and sights of Guadalest.
